Golden Globe Awards 2018 (for 2017 Films)

Most of the main film awards take place during January and February, with the Oscars pushing into early March this year. At mfiles we take an understandable interest in the film music categories, and the Season kicks off as usual with the Golden Globes. The nominations for the 75th Golden Globes were announced on December 11th 2017, and the winners (listed first) were presented on January 7th 2018. In the Music categories these were:

BAFTA Awards 2018 (for 2017 Films)

Nominations for the 71st BAFTA film awards were announced on January 9th 2018, and the winner (listed first) was presented at the awards ceremony on Sunday February 18th:

BAFTA does not have a Song Category. However the BAFTA Video Game awards and the BAFTA Television Craft awards are separate events taking place every year. The nominations for the Video Game awards were announced on March 15th as follows and the winners (listed first) announced during the ceremony on April 12th:
