URL Links, mfiles Linking Policy and Links Pages

Link Requests and Sponsored Posts

Please note that we consider a one-way link to be essentially an advert. Please see our Advertising page for details.

We receive frequent requests for "Guest Posts". Up until now all such requests have been refused, and we suspect that most of the requesters know very little about music. We are a music site covering quite a specialised range of topics. If you can demonstrate that you have the expertise (and hopefully the experience) to create content suitable for publication on mfiles, then please see our Jobs Page to understand the process of creating content on a freelance basis. But if you simply hope to promote your own business by posting on mfiles inferior content taken from wikipedia or other online sources, then your request will be rejected.

Linking to mfiles:

Music Tools, Products and Utilities

These sites deserve a mention because their products have formed the core of the music creation process on mfiles. Sibelius is used to create the sheet music and midi files, and virtual instruments from Native Instruments and others are used to create the audio files. Find out more in File Types.

Our web-sites are hosted with 1&1 (now called IONOS). We can thoroughly recommend this company for server reliability and response, excellent customer service, wide range of features and competitive cost.
