Most of the main film awards take place during January and February. At mfiles we take an understandable interest in the film music categories, and the Season kicks off as usual with the Golden Globes. The nominations for the 74th Golden Globes were announced on December 12th 2016, and the winners (listed first) were presented on January 8th 2017. In the Music categories these were:
