Golden Globe Awards 2017 (for 2016 Films)

Most of the main film awards take place during January and February. At mfiles we take an understandable interest in the film music categories, and the Season kicks off as usual with the Golden Globes. The nominations for the 74th Golden Globes were announced on December 12th 2016, and the winners (listed first) were presented on January 8th 2017. In the Music categories these were:

BAFTA Awards 2017 (for 2016 Films)

Nominations for the 70th BAFTA film awards were confirmed on January 10th, and the winner (listed first) was presented at the awards ceremony on Sunday February 12th:

BAFTA do not have a Song Category. However the BAFTA Video Game awards is a separate event where winners (listed first below) were presented on 6th April.
