Rocking Carol - traditional Czech Carol, arranged for easy piano by Jim Paterson

The opening words of this Christmas Carol are "Little Jesus Sweetly Sleep", and it is based around a melody of Czech origin. The melody is similar to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with a repetitive swaying feel to it. Hence it is usually known as "The Rocking Carol" for its soothing lullaby qualities. The Czech words were translated into English by the Anglican priest Percival Dearmer (1867–1936), who published the carol and helped to popularise it in English-speaking countries.
