Impacts on the film industry from the Covid Pandemic have continued into 2021 and beyond. However with some relaxation of rules, some theatres were able to open and some major movies such as the long delayed Bond film were released and saw good box office results. Although there is an element of "business as usual" to certain aspects of the film industry, the restrictions are still affecting certain areas. Indeed the Golden Globes ceremony in January was a minimalist affair with very little face to face contact. Nevertheless awards season is now underway, and here are the nominees and winners so far in the music categories:
"Dune" by Hans Zimmer
"The French Dispatch" by Alexandre Desplat
"Encanto" by Germaine Franco
"The Power of the Dog" by Jonny Greenwood
