Most of the main film awards take place during January and February, with the Oscars sometimes pushing into March. At mfiles we take an understandable interest in the film music categories, and the Season kicks off as usual with the Golden Globes. The nominations for the 77th Golden Globes were announced on December 9th 2019, and the winners (listed first) were presented on January 5th 2020. In the Music categories these were:

BAFTA does not have a Song Category. However the BAFTA Video Game awards and the BAFTA Television Craft awards are separate events taking place every year in the Spring.
