Domenico Scarlatti: Keyboard Sonata K.32 in D minor

Miniature Score of the K.32 Sonata Out of Domenico Scarlatti's 555 known keyboard sonatas, this one K.32 in D minor is one of the shortest and perhaps one of the easiest. It is marked "Aria" in the score, perhaps implying a lyrical song-like melody. It has a nice swing to it, because almost every 2nd bar starts with a little upward run of 3 notes. If you find the trills daunting you can just ignore them, or keep them simple. For this piano version, the sheet music and audio files can be found in the left-hand menu or scroll further down the page. On mfiles we have two arrangements of this sonata, one for Oboe and Bassoon and one for Violin and Cello, and there are also 2 other Scarlatti Sonatas, K.159 in C major and Sonata K.185 in F minor.
