"My Grandfather's Clock" is a song composed by the American songwriter Henry Clay Work (1832-1884). The song is popular with children and has been included in many children's song books and albums. It cleverly compares the life of a grandfather with the ticking of a grandfather clock, with the chorus emphasising the ticking of the clock.
