"Humpty Dumpty" is a very well-known Nursery Rhyme, where the character of Humpty Dumpty is usually portrayed as egg-shaped. The character appeared in Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass", though it is older than this and originally was devised as a riddle. It is one of those children's songs where you can add actions to heighten the entertainment value, sitting the child on your knee to represent Humpty Dumpty on the wall, and letting the child gently fall down to a lower position when it is time to fall.
