Frog Round: Children's Folk Song - Piano Sheet Music, midi & mp3 files

Frog 2 The "Frog Round" is a children's folk song which is sung as a round. The lyrics beginning "What a Queer Bird" are cleverly constructed and seem to comment on a frog's capabilities in the eyes of a bird. The music is also quite quirky. The big intervals and syncopation in the rhythym can make the song difficult for younger children, but older children can certainly attempt it. This version has been set out with only 2 parts played by the 2 hands of a piano. We have seen the sheet music notated in 4/4 time but it should really be in triple time. You can download the sheet music, midi and mp3 files for this version using the links at the left, or see the alternative version for Woodwind Quartet (or string quartet) which illustrates how the song is sung or played with 4 parts. Here is an amusing video of the song using electronic voices.
