This Bugle call is played in the military forces at the end of the day. It summarises the day since it consists of a number of phrases from different calls signifying different events which have occurred during the day. Since this piece marks a "closing", it is also played at military and other funerals, as is an alternative shorter piece used at the end of the day called Taps. A variety of calls can be used to mark the start of the day, including The First Post, Rouse or various versions of Reveille (e.g. Charlie Reveille, Reveille (UK) and Reveille (US)).
