"A Breeze from Alabama" is a piano rag composed by Scott Joplin in 1902 when he was at the height of his fame and popularity. That same year he published several other ragtime pieces including Elite Syncopations and The Entertainer which was to become one of his most famous works. While "A Breeze from Alabama" is not as instantly likeable, it is quirky in a fun way with an unusual key change and modulations in the middle section.
