"Old McDonald Had a Farm" is a traditional Children's Song. In essence the song is about all the different animals that MacDonald keeps on his farm, but the fun comes from making the animal noises. The song also allows children to be creative: to think of an animal and make its noise. The song is often performed in a cumulative form where for each new animal you also repeat all the noises of the previous animals, so it can become a memory test too.
