Hanon Exercise no.05 - composed by Charles-Louis Hanon

First bar of Hanon Exercise 05 "Hanon Exercise 05" is one of the piano exercises composed by French composer Charles-Louis Hanon, the complete set being called The Viruoso Pianist. In total he created 60 exercises designed to practice and improve a range of finger skills and techniques required by pianists. The idea is that piano students, as part of their regular practice sessions, should play some of these exercises in addition to scales, arpeggios and actual study pieces. The 60 exercises are split into 3 groups, and Exercise 05 belongs to the first group of "preparatory exercises" numbered 01 to 20.
