Traditional : Good Christian Men Rejoice (In Dulci Jubilo) - music downloads

This is another long-standing traditional Chirstmas Carol, whose modern version is a loose translation of the original lyrics to "In Dulci Jubilo" which were a mixture of Latin and Medieval German. The melody has been used by a number of classical composers including Dieterich Buxtehude (c. 1638-1707), J. S. Bach and Franz Liszt. In more recent times the music has also proved very popular as an instrumental. An instrumental version was released by Mike Oldfield in 1976 but a number of other artists have released versions since then as choral or instrumental tracks.
