Brahms' Lullaby is one of his best known pieces, heard frequently on television and on the music box toys of young children. The song comes from Johannes Brahms' Op.49 collection of 5 songs (or lieder), with this one being No.4 called Wiegenlied or Cradle Song. Some of Brahms' lyrics for Wiegenlied come from "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" (Youth's Magic Horn) which is a collection of folk poems which have provided inspiration for many composers. This version has been arranged for easy piano by Jim Paterson, and you can download the PDF sheet music and corresponding Midi and Mp3 files using the links in the left hand menu.
On mfiles we also have Brahms' original Song version, which can be sung or played as an instrumental by a range of instruments with optional piano accompaniment, and we also have an arrangement for Guitar solo.
