Gabriel Fauré's Dolly Suite: Berceuse, arranged for Oboe (or other instrument) and Piano

The Dolly Suite Op.56 was composed by the French composer Gabriel Fauré. It was named after the daughter of a friend whose nickname was "Dolly", and as you might imagine the music and movement titles are suitably child-friendly. The original version of this suite is for Piano Duet, though this arrangement is illustrated for Oboe and Piano. However a Flute can also play the Oboe part, and the left-hand or pop-up menu has alternative parts for Clarinet/Trumpet, Bassoon/Cello, Violin, Viola, French Horn or Alto Sax. See below for midi & mp3 files of the full movement, but here is an mp3 file of the Piano accompaniment only to help you practice the solo instrumental part. Remember that the piano plays 2 bars of accompaniment before the main instrument starts.

On mfiles here is the original version of Dolly: Berceuse - for Piano Duet and here is an alternative arrangement Dolly: Berceuse - for Piano Solo.
