Lowell Mason : Joy to the World

In his original manuscript for this music, the composer Lowell Mason wrote "from George Frederic Handel" so people assumed that he had adapted a melody from a work by Handel. However music scholars have been unable to find the original melody in any work by Handel, so now conclude that Lowell Mason composed the work himself and wrote the dedication in honour of Handel.
