It's a Long Way to Tipperary by Jack Judge - piano/vocal sheet music

It's a Long Way to Tipperary by Jack Judge - sheet music cover "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" is a popular music hall song written by Jack Judge (1872-1938) who gave a co-credit to Harry Williams (?-1924). Judge's grandparents came from Tipperary in Ireland, so the song seems to yearn to return home. It was first sung on stage in 1913 by Florrie Forde, and was quickly picked up by a number of army regiments during World War I (1914-1918). This was further echoed back home with the song being frequently performed in support of the national troops. The song later made something of a comeback during WWII and it has been used in a number of war films. Another popular song from WWI is "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit-Bag". Its chorus has the same harmonic structure as "Tipperary", so it is possible to split a choir and sing the chorus of both songs together.

The sheet music below is the original piano/vocal song arrangement of "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" complete with lyrics. The midi and mp3 playback uses a clarinet in place of the voice. You can also download the sheet music, midi and mp3 files using the links in the left-hand menu.
