Henry Purcell : Rondeau (arranged for four SATB recorders)

This Rondeau is from the incidental music by Purcell for a theatre work called "Abdelazar", and has been arranged here for four recorders. This same theme was used to great effect by Benjamin Britten in his fun yet educational piece called A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, and the recent film Pride and Prejudice also incorporates this familiar music.
