There are a growing number of web-sites now offering and promoting music by original composers and unsigned bands, etc. This is a small selection of such sites featuring music in the genres covered by mfiles.

• The Scorched Sites Directory is Sibelius Software's own growing directory of sites using the Sibelius plug-in allowing you to play and view music online. Many of these sites belong to composers exhibiting their own music.
• Sibelius also manage the SibeliusMusic site which is a showcase for original sheet music or arrangements in Scorch format, including some available for free download.

• AnalyticalQ - the personal web-site of Anne Ku, including some original music and arrangements
• Saxtet Publications specialises in original new music for saxophone.
• Avi Ariav features his own clarinet music in MIDI and Sheet Music formats.
• Professor Andrew Downes is a British Composer presenting his works online.
• Ramunas Yaras a Lithuanian composer of classical and modern music featured in MP3 format.
• Bert Hilby presents original compositions and arrangements as free MIDI downloads.
• MIDI Flower Music has a range of MIDI music from a number of different original composers.
• The RYCUN Music company provides original sheet music (some free) and customised arrangements (parts and score) for different instrument groupings, specialising in jazz ensembles
• Songs of Praise features some excellent original songs in midi and mp3 formats, and you can even print the Sheet Music (PDF).
• Joe's Music Room is the web-site of Joe Miserendino who writes music for Euphonium, Brass Sextets, Ensembles, Strings and Orchestra.
• Charles J Fichtl presents keyboard works called Omnifusion by the composer. This is a blending of many styles from classical and jazz, through to rock and latin. The site contains sample audio streams and sheet music.
• Robert Thoms' homepage on Sibelius Music has waltzes and other works for piano, strings and orchestra - all can be downloaded free as sheet music or in mp3 format.
• Music and You provides online piano lessons, from piano basics to arranging, including jazz, blues, chords, chord theory, scales and finger exercises.
• Kolstov.biz is the official site of Philipp Koltsov, Russian composer & keyboardist.
• Robert Henson showcases his original music in this site with examples in midi and mp3 format.
• The BogaTones is a country music group from Tennessee whose website presents information about the band and its members, and includes songs for free download.
• Kevin Ure is a contemporary composer of classical music whose website contains sample mp3 files of his work.
• B. V. Foreman is a composer of original selected orchestral and vocal compositions, and the author of "Tracy Barton and the Ninja Secret Formulas".
• My Music and Lyrics.com is a place to get your own music webpage and showcase your own music and lyrics.
• The Music Media Entertainment Group is an online meeting place for musicians with the latest music news, and currently running a Talent Contest.
• Flamenco Flute is the website of Pedro Ontiveros with flamenco style sheet music for flute, mp3 files and lots of information about the composer.
• Original Music Downloads from the website of composer Buddy Ivory.
