Peter Tchaikovsky : The Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker Ballet

Among the most popular of Tchaikovsky's music is his music to the ballet "The Nutcracker". The story is set at Christmas time, and is full of lots of small gems many of which, such as "The Sugar Plum Fairy", featured in the Disney film "Fantasia". The orchestration for this music features a Celesta (or piano if no Celesta is available) playing the main tinkly theme, and a Bass Clarinet and normal clarinets playing the downward runs. Here are the individual parts for these instruments: Flutes, Oboes, Cor Anglais, Clarinets, Bass Clarinet, Bassoons, Horns, Celesta, 1st Violins, 2nd Violins, Violas, Cellos and Double Basses, and the full conductor's score.

For pianists we also have a version of the Sugar Plum Fairy for piano solo.
